9° Conference | 2016

The 2016 TPSR conference opened on June 22nd with a reception at Waxy’s Bar followed by a Red Sox game. Over the next two days, attendees participated in a variety of engaging sessions including alumni and student panels from English High School, keynotes on TPSR programs in Mexico and Nigeria, and roundtable discussions on integrating TPSR into literacy, sports, and community programs. Presenters came from universities and organizations across the U.S. and abroad. Friday concluded with evaluation activities and a group dinner in Boston’s North End. On Saturday, the final day, the focus shifted to organizational planning for the TPSR Alliance, including leadership, future conference locations, resource sharing, and collaborative projects, culminating with closing remarks from Don Hellison.
